 LIBRARY SERVICES FOR OTEN STUDENTS

Students currently enrolled in courses with OTEN are entitled to consult and borrow resources from their nearest TAFE NSW library. A TAFEcard (photographic ID card) is required first, and this can be obtained from the administration office of any TAFE campus, upon presentation of enrolment details.

Click here to view a list of North Coast Institute campuses and the library contact details. OTEN students may also borrow in person from other TAFE NSW libraries (more than 100 throughout the state).

Library services available to OTEN students include:

Access TAFE NSW campus libraries to consult and borrow library resources (unless on restricted access/lending conditions)

Book and use computers in accordance with the library policy

Orientation to library services and assistance in locating resources

Obtain inter-library loans of material not held in the campus library, subject to library policy (usually restricted to 2 items at a time)

Access to TAFE NSW online resources (periodical databases and E-Book collections) via the E-Resources tab on the TAFE NSW online Library catalogue

Access to Western Sydney Institute-licensed online resources. North Coast libraries can provide further information.

Services which North Coast Institute is unable to offer to OTEN students include:

Access to North Coast Institute-licensed electronic resources

Loan of textbooks for extended periods

Postal services

OTEN students who have difficulty accessing the resources required to complete their course should take up their difficulty with their teacher or other staff at OTEN.
