( 3 / 627 )Hi everyone,
This weeks book of the week Mind mood Foods. Available for loan @Grafton campus library.
Mind Mood Foods by Hazel Courteney & Kathryn Marsden
The theme for our library display this week is ‘Food for thought’. What better book to use for this weeks book of the week than a book titled, Mind Mood Foods.
We often concern ourselves with eating food that is healthy for our body, low in fat, low in sugar, high in fibre, you get the picture. But how often do we think about what is good for our mind and our moods. Imagine, delicious recipes for better memory, focus, brain health or even meals that relax or revive us.
This book which by the way has beautiful colour illustrations (what’s a cook book without pictures) and over 100 divine recipes, also offers a comprehensive list of ingredients and their benefits and effect on our moods and brain power.
The recipes appear simple (although I must admit I have not tried any yet) and wholesome and they seem to use everyday ingredients.

( 3 / 695 )Our website of the week this week is Marcom Projects, www.marcom.com.au. This company sells both education al and entertainment DVDs. You can download and browse catalogues in subject areas such as Business, Childhood, Computers, Engineering, Hospitality, Indigenous Studies, Psychology and Science. For each DVD there is a content description plus duration, year of publication and price. You can also search SBS DVDs, log in as a guest and find out details of their DVD content and prices.
*Hint: You could then talk to the library staff about purchasing selected DVDs for 2009.
