internet search

The internet is the third major source of assignment information.

Search engines* make it easy to find relevant material on the internet.

Use your assignment keywords as search terms. A search engine (such as Google: www.google.com.au) will look for your search terms in millions of websites on the internet
Some of the websites that contain your keywords may be useful resources.

tip from your librarian

"I can suggest an alternative approach. Recommended sites for your area of study are listed in the Web Links pages on The Information Centre website. Try the Topic Index for your study topic.

North Coast Institute librarians have checked out these sites for relevance to the courses taught here."

It's easy to find many, many websites using search engines - but do you have time to look at them all? The next section has tips on choosing which sites to look at.
